๐Ÿฅ„Mace - 2 pieces ( itโ€™s the dried flower of nutmeg. Its optional )
๐Ÿซ’Ghee / oil - 3 tbsp ( use Ghee for a better flavor)
๐Ÿฅ„Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
๐ŸšBasmati Rice - 1 cup
๐Ÿ’งWater - 1 cup (same as rice )
๐Ÿง‚Salt as needed
๐Ÿง…Onion - 1 medium size
๐Ÿฅ„Cubed mixed vegetables - 2 cup
๐Ÿฅ„I used the following vegetables

๐Ÿฅ•Carrot - 1
๐Ÿฅ„Bell pepper big - 1/2

  1. 1Clean the coriander leaves by removing the bottom part of the stem and wash the leaves in a big bowl of water. The dirt will go to the bottom of the bowl and you can fish out the clean leaves from the top.
  2. 2Take a mixie jar or blender and blend the coriander leaves, garlic cloves and green chillies with a little bit of water. It has to be a paste rather than juice.
  3. 3Wash the rice 3 times until the water is of clear color and keep it aside.
  4. 4If you planning to use instant pot, you can start that in saute mode. Otherwise take a pan and place it in the stove with medium heat.
  5. 5Add ghee to the pan or pot and add mace pieces to it.
  6. 6Add the onion and fry until itโ€™s translucent and then add the ground paste to this.
  7. 7Sautรฉ this for couple of minutes to get rid of the raw smell of garlic.
  8. 8Add the vegetables, salt and garam masala and give it a mix for a minute and turn the stove off.
  9. 9Once the pulao is cooked and you are able to open after the pressure is gone, add the lemon juice and serve hot.
