Vegan Sloppy Joes So Good, You Won't Miss the Meat

🧺 재료 21

🧄2 Cloves garlic
🥄smashed and peeled
🧅1 medium yellow onion
🥄cut into 1 inch chunks
🥄1 red bell pepper
🥄cored
🥄seeded
🥄and cut into 1 inch chunks
🫒3 TBSP olive oil
🧂1 1/4 tsp kosher salt
🥄1 small cauliflower head
🥄1 15.5 ounce can of cannellini beans -drained and rinsed
🍅6 TBSP tomato paste
🍎2 TBSP apple cider vinegar
🍬2 TBSP dark brown sugar
🌶️2 tsp chili powder
🧂1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
🥄1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
💧1/2 cup water
🥓4 hamburger buns (or brioche buns)
🧈Bread and butter pickles for serving is optional

  1. 1First prepare your veggies. Cut your onion and bell pepper into one inch chunks. Peel and smash your garlic. Drain and rinse your cannellini beans. Cut your cauliflower into florets.
  2. 2Put your garlic into a food processor and buzz it a few times. Then add your bell pepper and onion and buzz it until it's small, but not TOO fine. Put aside into a bowl.
  3. 3Now buzz your cauliflower into a similar mince.
  4. 4Now add your cauliflower. Stir often and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Mix in cannellini beans.
  5. 5Now it is time to add the sauce! Turn heat to low. Stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes. (until everything is warm and mixed well)
  6. 6Spray some oil on a smaller pan and heat your buns until they're golden brown.
  7. 7Grab a plate and make it sloppy! Add your sloppy joe on the buns and she's ready to enjoy! I am OBSESSED with adding bread and butter pickles to the sandwich. It's the perfect combination! Enjoy!
